Our Vision
Our vision is to change the world by providing new shoes to children in low income areas. We have found that providing new shoes can help boost their confidence and significantly improve their behavior . We also have a heart for the homeless population. We provide the homeless community and shelters with gently used shoes.
About me
In 2014 while serving my country in Afghanistan, I got an idea to start an organization that would help people in my community. It was one of the first things I did when I returned home from deployment. WC4Y started off providing families with clothes, Christmas presents, and food throughout the year and during the holiday season. However, it started to be a bit overwhelming with having such a broad spectrum. I was trying to fulfill every need in the community. That was unrealistic! I then decided to shift the focus and go with something that effected me growing up….. Shoes! Growing up in a single parent household I didn’t have the best shoes. On a few occasions I remember asking my mom for Air Force 1’s and getting K Swiss, or asking for Timberlands and getting Lugz. “She was a single parent, she bought me what she could afford.”
